Govt determined on Musharraf''s arrest warrant: Pak minister

Lahore, Feb 13 (PTI) The Pakistan government willensure the implementation of an arrest warrant issued forformer President Pervez Musharraf by a court, Law MinisterBabar Awan said today.

A court, and not a bar or lawyers, had issued thewarrant for the former President and the government will notallow anybody to become hero on the issue, he said whileaddressing lawyers at the Punjab Bar Council.

"Nobody can pressurise the government on such issues,"he said.

The Pakistan People''s Party-led government does nothave any personal agenda and will ensure the fulfillment ofthe national agenda, he said.

An anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi yesterday issueda warrant for the arrest of Musharraf after the specialprosecutor handling the Benazir Bhutto assassination casealleged that the former President had not cooperated withinvestigators probing the killing.

Musharraf has been living in self-exile in Britainsince he left Pakistan in early 2009.

Investigators have accused him of failing to provideadequate security to former premier and PPP chief Bhutto, whowas killed by a suicide attacker in Rawalpindi in December2007.

The former military ruler''s aides have said there is"no possibility" of him appearing in court.
