Jaipur, Feb 14 (PTI) Annoyed over police''s allegednegligence towards his complaint, a man tried to misbehavewith Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at his officialresidence here today.
The middle-aged man, Khemaram Meghwal, had gone to theCM''s residence during a public hearing where he became unrulyand tried to manhandle the chief minister alleging negligenceand non-action by police towards his complaint, sources said.
However, the situation was immediately brought undercontrol by security personnel, they added.
"A man hailing from Nagaur came and tried to misbehavewith me during a public hearing, but security personnelcontrolled the situation," Gehlot told reporters.
"I called him separately and asked about his complaintwhich prompted him to act like this. He told me that a womanrelative had taken his daughter and wife to Jodhpur where hisdaughter is being forced into prostitution. He said heapproached police several times but no action was initiated,"Gehlot said.
"I immediately asked officials that the matter be probedby a separate police team not by local police station so as toensure proper action," Gehlot said.
