Brigade rally LF''s swansong, says Mamata
Kolkata, Feb 13 (PTI) Trinamool Congress chief MamataBanerjee today described the ruling Left Front''s rally at theBrigade Parade Ground here as its "farewell meeting" and saidthe "corrupt" LF government was on its way out.
The rally was the left Front''s last-ditch attempt tosupply oxygen to a dying entity, Banerjee said, but, shepredicted, "this will prove to be a grand failure".
Banerjee, also the Railway Minister, is confident thatthis is the LF''s last Brigade rally before it gets dethroned.
She countered Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee andLF Chairman Biman Bose''s attack on the issue of allegedcorruption of the Congress-led UPA Government, saying thestate government was steeped in corruption and it must facethe consequences.
"Democracy ends with party dictatorship. While Egypt took30 years for a change, Bengal will take 35 years to bring it.
After the fall of this government, we shall hold a victoryrally at the Brigade where all our ministers will take oath infront of a massive gathering," she said.
