Bhopal, Feb 13 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Congress chief SureshPachouri today alleged that the state government was notdisbursing the allocated relief amount to the farmers, whosecrops have been damaged due to recent frost and cold wave inthe state.
"Though the state government has allocated relief fundsto the affected farmers district-wise, its disbursement is nottaking place," Pachouri told reporters after Madhya PradeshChief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called off his fastagainst the Centre over different issues including a specialpackage to the farmers.
Pachouri said the Centre was providing adequate funds tothe state for farmers and under different beneficial schemes,but the latter was failing to make use of it.
He said Chouhan''s fast which was called off few minutesafter its launch here, was illegal, unethical andunconstitutional.
Pachouri said Congress would lodge a complaint with theCentre against bureaucrats who worked at Chouhan''s fast, whichwas a political function.
The bureaucrats had worked against civil service conductrules, he said adding that the state government machinery andfunds had been misused at Chouhan''s fast venue.
