Motihari, Feb 13 (PTI) A jeweller was murdered byunidentified assailants near Chakia Bazar in Bihar''s EastChamparan district triggering protests by local traderss whoblocked NH-28 todaydemanding immediate arrest of the culprits.
The 27 year-old jeweller, was returning home at Dhubuliavillage after closing shop last night when three assailantsattacked him and slit his throat killing him on the spot,police said.
The assailants then threw the trader''s body nearBaraghat bridge on Chakia-Madhuban road before escaping, thepolice said.
The police recovered the body following information bythe passers by.
As local traders blockaded the highway senior civil andpolice officials reached the spot, pacified them and restoredroad traffic, acting superintendent of police Md Mokim said.
