Eight killed in Karna in separate accidents
Bangalore, Feb 13 (PTI) Eight persons were killed and fiveinjured in three separate accidents in Karnataka over thepast two days, police said.
Four persons died and five injured in a collisioninvolving a private Volvo bus and a gas tanker in Ankolataluk, about 50 km from here in the early hours today, policesaid.
While the two drivers and a bus passenger died on the spot,another passenger succumbed to injuries on way to hospital,police said.
The bus was proceeding to Panjim from Bangalore.
The five injured bus passengers have been admittedto a private hospital and are stated to be "out of danger",police said.
In another mishap, a 23 year-old pedestrian was run over bya cement making tipper in Bangalore today.
The tipper driver has been arrested.
In Chitradurga district, three persons were killed when thetractor in which they were travelling, turned turtle inChallakere taluk late last night.
