Andhra police emerge champion at All India Police Duty Meet
Hyderabad, Feb 13 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh police emerged asthe overall champion at the 54th All India Police Duty Meet2010, which was held in Jaipur from February 7 to 12.
The police personnel from the state won the highestnumber of medals -- 8 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze -- and fivetrophies, Additional DGP (Sports), Tejdeep Kaur Menon said ina statement here today.
The ''Duty Meets'' test professional skills of policemenfrom across the country. The five-day Meet at Jaipur consistedof written tests in crime investigation, law, rules,procedures, court judgements, police photography, videography,anti � sabotage checks, dog squad and computer awareness, etc.
The All India competitions are held usually after thestate police duty meets every year.
All the medal winners will be given cash rewards andadvance increments. The Gold Medal winners will get Rs 20,000each and two advance increments, Silver Medal winners will getRs 15, 000 and one advance increment and Bronze Medal winnerswill take home Rs 10,000, the statement said.
