Washington, Feb 12 (ANI): A Virginia woman's home improvement plans turned awry in an instance, when she dialed a toilet company's customer service number.
Debbie Attard had called an 800-number in search for missing toilet seat parts, but was greeted by a recorded, sultry voice on the other end that whispered, "Hey there sexy guy" and finished by offering a "nasty girl who'll give you anything you want for just $2.99 a minute," reports the Fox News.
It was a sex hotline - obviously not the type of assistance she had in mind.
"I couldn't believe it," Debbie said. "I had called it like five or six times to make sure I didn't dial it wrong."
Attard had been helping her son and his wife move into their new mobile home in Isle of Wright, Va
The Attard's new mobile home in Isle of Wight County, Virginia is bit of a fixer upper, but that day, they were focusing on their bathroom.
When the family went to install the toilet bowl they bought from Lowe's, Attard thought some parts were missing.
So she looked up this phone number listed on the instruction brochure.
However, the number appeared to be for customers seeking an entirely different service.
"I was appalled," she said.
A company employee said they are asking the vendor to look into the situation. (ANI)
