IOA officials slams ''Clean Sports India''

Ranchi, Feb 12 (PTI) IOA Vice President TrilochanSingh today sought to know what is the contribution of ''CleanSports India'' (CSI) in organising sports.



"What is its contribution to the sports? Why don''tthey do some good work elsewhere," Singh said when askedabout CSI''s demand for IOA President Suresh Kalmadi''sresignation following CWG scam.



"He (Kalmadi) is our President till 2012. And the IOAfully backs him," Singh added.



CSI is a newly floated forum by former internationalslike hockey Olympian Pargat Singh and former athletics starsAshwini Nachappa and Vandana Rao.



They demand Kalmadi''s resignation on moral grounds toroll out reforms in the country''s premier sporting body andother federations.



Kalmadi had yesterday said the IOA had plans ofincluding former sports persons in sports organisations.



The Annual General Body meeting of the IOA held midwayin Ranchi today, where the 34th National Games opens later inthe evening.
