Aurangabad, Feb 10 (PTI) Maharashtra Governor KSankaranarayanan today said that the increasing corruptionlevels were tarnishing the image of the nation.
"Information Technology-based administrative system canhelp control the corruption", he said, speaking here afterinaugurating the two-day conference on E-Governance on thisevening.
The conference has been organised under the aegis ofDepartment of Administrative Reforms and Public grievances ofthe Union Government and Department of Information Technologyof the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister PrithvirajChavan said that the state had been ahead in implementing thenational �Adhar� scheme. He said that it is possible to runthe welfare schemes if �Adhar� and various IT basedundertakings could work jointly.
