Chandigarh, Feb 11 (PTI) The revived cold conditionscontinued unabated in most parts of Punjab and Haryana withthe minimum temperature remaining upto two degrees Celsiusbelow normal at few places in the region.
The minimum temperatures hovered between two degreesCelsius below normal to two degrees above normal in most partsof Punjab and Haryana, the MeT office said here today.
A blanket of mist engulfed several areas of the region,including Ambala, Karnal, Amritsar and Ludhiana besides, adense fog reduced visibility considerably at Rohtak.
Narnaul was the coldest in the plains of Punjab andHaryana with a low of 5.7 degrees Celsius, which was one notchbelow normal.
While Amritsar settled at a low of 6.2 degrees Celsius,the minimum temperature at Karnal was 7.2 degrees Celsius, twonotches below normal.
Among other places, Bhiwani had a low of 8.2 degreesCelsius followed by 8.4 degrees Celsius at Rohtak, 8.6 degreesCelsius at Hisar and 8.8 degrees Celsius at Patiala, one notcheach above normal.
Chandigarh had a low of nine degrees Celsius, one notchabove normal, followed by 9.8 degrees Celsius at Ludhiana, twonotches above normal and ten degrees Celsius at Ambala.
The MeT has forecast dry weather with slight rise in dayas well as night temperatures in the region during the nexttwo days.
