A court in Ghaziabad on Wednesday was supposed to give judgment on CBI's closure report but it surprised the nation and shattered Aarushi's parents by claiming both Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar as the only accused in the double murder.
"Shocked and horrified" over the court's accusation, Aarushi's father Rajesh Talwar claimed, "This is a banana republic... We have lost our precious child. Why are they doing this to us."
While speaking to a leading new channel, her mother Dr Nupur claimed, "there are mothers out there, fathers out there...how can you even imagine such a thing? It's absolutely inhuman to think of someone like this. Humanity has fallen to its pits."
CBI in its closure report accused Rajesh Talwar as the prime and only accused in the double murder case. But the court's decision on Feb 9 surprised many. Court included Nupur Talwar's name in the accused list.
However, a detail study of CBI's closure report may give some hints about the court's decision.
CBI closure report clearly stated that Aarushi's parents' statements were very confusing and suspicious. CBI was sometime clueless. But the report failed to explain the motive of the murder and it also failed to find out murder weapon.
After the court's decision, CBI gained new energy and created a security ring around some of the important witnesses. These witnesses are believed to be the backbone of CBI's case that the inmates of the house are prime suspects.
CBI officials claimed, "How can anyone expect some direct evidence in a case in which the eyewitnesses themselves turn out to be the suspect or the accused?"
"There are at least three such witnesses who have shared some relevant and significant information related to the crime and that information has been found to be true," informed the CBI officials.
Now, the nation is waiting for the final justice for the slained Aarushi and Hemraj.
