Three killed in road mishap in Kathua
Jammu, Feb 9 (PTI) Three persons were killed after atrailer in which they were travelling in fell into the Raviriver on Jammu-Pathankot national highway in Kathuadistrict of Jammu and Kashmir, police officials said today.
The accident occurred when driver of the trailer,carrying timber sleepers from Kandla Port in Gujarat to Jammu,lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down from Madhopurbridge and fell into the river Ravi at Lakhanpur, about 80-kmsfrom here, in Kathua district yesterday, they said.
In the mishap, three persons, including driver GurmeetSingh, Pardeep Singh (cleaner) and Jasbir Singh, all hailingfrom Ferozpur in Punjab, were killed on the spot, they said.
