Mumbai, Feb 8: One of the leading mobile manufactures in India, Samsung set to launch its latest Android smartphone Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 in India.

Samsung, the second populous handset brand in India, identified the huge popularity of Android phones in Indian market. Samsung plans to grab the market share which is still dominated by the global leader Nokia. Various features and advanced specifications help Android phones to gain acceptance over Nokia Symbian mobiles.

Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 runs on Google Android 2.2 Froyo OS and has a 3.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen. This new smartphone is powered with 800 MHz processor and 348 MB RAM. Galaxy Ace S5830 has a 5MP camera with LED flash, autofocusing, geotagging and face & smile detection.

Samsung's new mobile also offers 158MB of internal memory and supports micro SD card for memory expansion. Other specifications of 3G powered Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 include Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n and FM radio.

Samsung Galaxy Ace will compete with other mid-range smartphones like Nokia C6-01, Dell XCD35, Motorola Defy and LG Optimus One.

Samsung claimed that Galaxy Ace S5830 will provide 11 hours of talktime on 2G network and 6.5 hours on 3G network. Samsung India has not yet officially announced the release date and price of this smartphone in India.
