Sonawane case: Nine accused remanded to Judicial Custody
Nashik, Feb 8 (PTI) Nine out of eleven accused in theadditional collector Yashwant Sonawane murder case were todayremanded to a 14-day judicial custody by the ManmadMagistrate''s court in the district today.
Prime accused in the case, Popat Shinde died at Mumbai''sJ J Hospital last week succumbing to burn injuries.
His minor son, Kunal was sent to Nashik''s remandhome earlier.
Remaining nine accused, whose 14-day police custody endedtoday, were produced before the court and remanded tojudicial custody, police said.
Sonawane was burnt alive by Shinde and his associates nearManmad on January 25, when the officer tried to stop fueladulteration which was underway.
