Pranab Mukherjee
New Delhi, Feb 8: Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar held three rounds of talks with Opposition parties to resolve the Parliament stalemate over JPC demand. But she failed to tackle the Opposition, especially BJP. Now, it's Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee's turn to hold the bat.

In the wake of a successful Parliament Budget session, which will begin from Feb 21, now, Mr Mukherjee will address an all party meeting today (Tuesday, Feb 8).

All party meeting, during Parliament's winter session, failed to bring out any solution to the logjam over Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe in the 2G spectrum scam.

The nation experienced a huge loss as Parliament was paralised during winter session. Now, Congress led UPA government does not want to repeat the same. So, the government is trying its best to break the logjam.

Opposition parties want JPC probe in the 2G spectrum as they are not satisfied with UPA's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) investigation led by BJP leader Murlimanohar Joshi.

Today's meeting will prove that Parliament's coming budget session will be a success or a failure like winter session.
