Mahesh, Sandeep enter pre-quarters

Mumbai, Feb 8 (PTI) Fourth seed Mahesh Mangaonkar andfifth seed Sandeep Jangra recorded easy wins on theirway to the men''s open pre-quarter finals of the ISP-MinuteMaid Squash Carnival, jointly hosted by Khar and Juhu VileParle Gymkhanas, here today.

Mangaonkar, member of the Indian squash team thatrecently defeated Pakistan in the final of the Asian SquashChampionship, was in good form while drubbing ShashankIyer 11-1 11-3 in his second-round encounter.

Also through to the last 16 was Sandeep Jangra who beatBhanu Pratap Singh 11-4 11-5.

Second seed Marwan Shorbagy of Egypt and sixth Elvin Keoof Malaysia cruised past Amit Kataria and Vicky Mehta 11-111-0 and 11-3 11-1 respectively.
