Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Cassidian- you name them and you will find them unveiling their latest offerings to India which is about to offer one of the largest export orders in defence history.
India is expected to spend nearly $50 billion in the next five years to revamp its armed forces which also includes a budget of $11 billion on fighter jets alone.
It is not that India is a lucrative market in the defence aircraft segment alone. The growing pockets of Indian middle-class has ensured that the commercial aircraft sector has also grown in a big way.
More than 600 manufacturers, vendors and suppliers will attend the show. It also includes 35 companies from Russia alone.
