2 drivers among three held for robbery
New Delhi, Feb 7 (PTI) Three men, including two drivers,who were trying to escape in a car after committing a robbery,were arrested in south-west Delhi, police said today.
The arrested have been identified as Sunder (20), DineshKumar (28) and Narender (31). While Sunder is a driver in atransport company, Narender is a cab driver and Dinesh anunemployed.
The arrests came following police receiving a call thatthree men in a car have snatched cash and mobile phone and hadfled after offering lift to the victim.
"Complainant R K Jha told us he has come from Jaipur andgot down at Kapashera border. While he was waiting fortransportation to go for Kakrola More, the occupants of a caroffered him lift.
"Two passengers got down at Sector-7 Dwarka, while threeothers in the car took him to Sector-10 Metro Station anddropped him between Sector-10 and Sector-11 Metro StationDwarka after robbing him," DCP (South-West) Sharad Aggarwalsaid.
After receiving the call from Jha, Aggarwal said, awireless message was flashed and the car was intercepted inDwarka.
"The car used in crime belongs to a travel agency engagedby a private company in Gurgaon. Narender is the driver of thecar. Another accused Dinesh is his relative and Sunder is hisneighbour in the village," he said.
