HTC 7 Pro starts UK shipping; soon in India

London, Feb 7: Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 powered HTC 7 Pro has been started shipping to UK. It is expected that this QWERTY smartphone will hit the Indian market soon.

HTC 7 Pro was announced during the launch of Windows Phone 7 OS in Oct 2010. With this new smartphone, HTC aims the business executives and geeky youths who look for 24X7 social network connectivity. The slide-out QWERTY keypad helps for faster typing and easy messaging.

HTC 7 Pro has a 3.6-inch touchscreen with 480 x 800 WVGA resolution and pinch-to-zoom capability. It spots a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording. The phone provides an internal memory of 8 GB.

This new smartphone is powered with 1GHz processor, 512 MB ROM and 448 MB RAM. The connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack and standard micro-USB port. Applications like Facebook and Windows Live are preloaded in the handset.

Indian handset market has been witnessing the launch of high-end smartphones that run on WP7. HTC has unveiled Mozart and Dell brought Venue Pro to India, moving the handset market to the next level. The official release date and price of HTC 7 Pro are not yet available.
