Feb 21 confirmed - D-day for Ajmal Kasab

Mumbai, Feb 7: The Bombay High court, finally, has finalised the ultimate day when the verdict of Ajmal Kasab will be pronounced without failing. Monday, Feb 21 is the D-day for the lone survivor gunman in the Mumbai terror attcks in 2008.

The court today (Feb 7) declared that the final verdict will be delivered on Feb 21 to decide Kasab's fate who appealed against death sentence conferred by a special Mumbai court.

Kasab's lawyers have so far argued for a life sentence for him, saying a death penalty will only make him a martyr. However, prosecution was adamant for the capital punishment for Kasab over his involvement in the 26/11 attacks.

The court on Feb 21 also will pronounce the verdict on Faheem Ansari and Sabahuddin Shaikh, two Indians who has been accused of involvement in the ghastly Mumbai attack in which 166 people were killed.
