Sonia Gandhi to announce team to discuss seat sharing with DMK
Chennai, Feb 6 (PTI) Gearing up for the Assembly electionsin May, Congress President Sonia Gandhi will soon announce ateam to discuss seat-sharing with its ally, DMK.
DMK President M Karunanidhi and Gandhi will also discussand finalise issues like PMK joining the alliance, TNCCPresident K V Thangkabalu today said.
Gandhi had reportedly expressed her reluctance to PMK''sreturn to the DMK fold after quitting it during the 2009 LokSabha polls to align with the AIADMK.
The Congress has been dragging its feet on announcing itsteam to hold seat-sharing discussions with the DMK.
The Karunanidhi-led Dravidian party has already announceda five-member team, comprising Deputy Chief Minister M KStalin and others for this purpose.
Congress has 34 MLAs in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assemblyand lends crucial support to the DMK government.
