Jewellers look for shine in sales in season of love
Mumbai, Feb 6 (PTI) This Valentine''s Day season isexpected to set the right mood for jewellery shopping asretailers are hoping for up to 40 per cent growth in salesviz-a-viz last year.
The season usually witnesses heavy sales of lightweight and trendy jewelleries, especially made of colouredgems and diamonds, jewellery exporter and retailer ShreeGanesh Jewellery House''s Marketing and Communication HeadRahul Singh told PTI.
"This year the trend seems to be positive and weexpect almost 40 per cent growth in sales of light weightgold,coloured gems and diamond jewellery segments compared tothe same period last year," Singh said.
The jewellery maker, which plans to increase domesticretail presence, has introduced a light weight trendyjewellery line in the range of Rs 3,500-18,000 for theFebruary 14 commemoration.
"Valentine''s Day is specially celebrated by the youngmass, who prefer the light weight jewels. Keeping this inmind, we have introduced special range of light weightjewellery and we are positive this will help in popularisingour brand in the country," Singh said.
