Kashmir again takes India to war-shore?
The mastermind of Mumbai attacks 2008 and Jamaat-u-Dawah (JuD) chief Hazif Muhammad Saeed on Saturday, Feb 5 warned India to "quit" Jammu and Kashmir or be prepared for a "war".
Celebrating Kashmi's 'Solidarity Day', Saeed left a message as he stated, "I want to give a message to Manmohan Singh. Leave Kashmir or get ready to face a war."
"Jihad (protest for freedom) is for peace. Islam does not allow killing the innocent. But the aggressors are to be given a befitting reply," added Saeed.
All anti-India and pro-Kashmir remarks echoed in the air of Pakistan as Saeed's supporters shouted slogans like "Kashmir hamara hai" (Kashmir is ours), "Kashmir ki azadi tak jang rahay gi jang rahah gi" (The war will continue till the liberation of Kashmir) and "Bhartio Kashmir chor do" (Indians quit Kashmir).
Saeed also warned India by stating, "If freedom is not given to the Kashmiris, then we will occupy the whole of India including Kashmir. We will launch Ghazwa-e-Hind (the battle for India). Our homework is complete to get Kashmir."
India and Pakistan have fought numerous armed conflicts over Kashmir dispute.
- First Kashmir War in 1947
- Operation Gibraltar in 1965
- Kargil war in 1999
