Ranchi, Feb 5 (PTI) Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni,who won''t be present on the opening day of the National Gameson February 12, would try to watch the games at least for aday, if he gets a break during World Cup matches.
"I won''t be able to make it for the opening day of theGames following (World Cup) matches, but will try to come fora day to watch live action, if ICC guidelines permit," Dhonitold reporters here today.
Dhoni visited Khelgaon, the venue of the 34th NationalGames here, accompanied by the state Sports Minister SudeshMahto.
"The sporting infrastructure at Khelgaon is worldclass ... National Games is very important for Jharkhand," hesaid after the visit and hoped that the state would winseveral gold medals.
The two-week sporting extravaganza would be kicked off onFebruary 12 and end on February 26.
Wishing the India team luck at the World Cup, Mahto saidhe was confident that Team India would win it under Dhoni''sable leadership.
Later, Dhoni visited Deori temple about 55 km from here.
