Body parts of dalit girl chopped off

Fatehpur, Feb 6 (PTI) Body parts of a 16-year-olddalit girl was allegedly chopped off by three youths when sheresisted rape attempt in Bindaki area, police said here today.

Three youths forcibly dragged the girl, when she hadgone out for some work, into a field and attempted to rape herlate last night, Superintendent of Police Ram Bharose said,adding one of them had been arrested.

He said when the girl resisted rape attempt and raisedalarm, the trio chopped off her nose, ear and part of hand.

The girl was later rushed to the district hospitalfrom where she was referred to Kanpur in a serious condition.

The SP said an FIR had been lodged against the trio.
