Bill Gates lauds Nitish for development in Bihar

Patna, Feb 5 (PTI) Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates haslauded Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for ushering indevelopment in Bihar and assured him of financial assistancein future.

"I had felt that development was taking place in Biharand particularly so in the health sector," Gates said in ahandwritten letter to Kumar.

The Microsoft chairman, whose Bill and Melinda GatesFoundation has provided donation to the state government forpolio immunization and vaccination in the past, said morelives could be saved in the wake of arrival of new vaccines.

"Our foundation will continue to make donations to thestate in the health sector," Gates said and hoped thathe would visit the state again.

Gates had visited Bihar in May last year.
