Mumbai, Feb 5 (PTI) Expressing frustration overleakage of sensitive information about happenings in the statecabinet meetings, Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil todaysaid the meetings should be rather thrown open to the media.

"Some ministers provide wrong information to media. Iam going to raise this issue with the Chief MinisterPrithviraj Chavan," Patil told reporters in Sangli.

Patil was irked by leakage of information aboutdiscussion on CBI probe into murder of additional collectorYashwant Sonawane, at a recent cabinet meeting. He said, "Themeeting should be thrown open for media, instead of wrongfacts being reported."

Though Patil did not name any minister, his apparenttarget is senior minister of his own party (NCP), ChhaganBhujbal.

Bhujbal, at the cabinet meeting, had demanded an inquiryby the central agency into the murder.

Bhujbal, who is Guardian Minister of Nashik district, had said he was making the demand to remove "even an iota ofdoubt" from the minds of people after the Opposition''sallegations against NCP ministers over the gruesome killing.

"Opposition leaders, by making direct and indirectallegations, have pointed the needle of suspicion at me,"Bhujbal had said.

But, some media reports said that Bhujbal had questionedthe efficiency of the state police, and the home department.
