JPSC�s ex-Chairman surrenders before special court
Ranchi, Feb 4 (PTI) Former chairman of Jharkhand PublicService Commission (JPSC) Dilip Kumar Prasad, who wasabsconding for the last over six months and had his propertyattached, today surrendered before a special vigilance courthere.
The special court of Binay Kant Khan sent him to judicialcustody for fourteen days.
Prasad went into hiding after an FIR was filed against himand 31 others in connection with alleged nepotism andirregularities in conducting the 2008 state civil serviceexamination.
The state vigilance bureau had on June 13, 2010 filed anFIR against the accused.
Nineteen officials, who had passed and posted at differentplaces in the state after passing 2008 JPSC examination, weredismissed by the state following the alleged irregularity inconducting the examination.
