Three ashtadhatu idols stolen
Orai (UP), Feb 3 (PTI) Three ashtadhatu idols worthabout Rs 1.5 crore in international market were stolen from atemple in Konch area here today.
According to the police, the theft came to light whendevotees visited the 300-year-old Sri Ram Chandra Maharajtemple in Subhash nagar locality this morning.
The devotees found that doors of the temple were openedand the idols of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman, weighing aroundone-and-a-half quintals, missing, they said.
The priest, Mahadev, has been missing for the past threeto four days, and his role is also being investigated, thepolice said.
