Vijayawada, Feb 3 (PTI) TDP, CPI, and CPM activists todaystaged a dharna at the Sub Collector office here protestingprice rise of essential commodities.
The leaders from these three parties, in a show ofstrength alleged that both the Union and state governmentfailed to check price rise ahead of Chief Minister�s visit tothe city today.
They also alleged the ministers colluded with blackmarketeers and allowed them to hike prices of essentialcommodities.TDP legislator D Umamaheswara Rao, on this occasion,criticised the government and said it has failed all togetherto check rising prices.
He said that government itself showed the way forbusinessmen by hiking petroleum prices.
CPI''s former legislators K Subba Raju, Shaik Nazarvali,and CPM ''s District secretary Umamaheswara Rao and othersparticipated in the agitation.
