Mumbai, Feb 3 (PTI) Adding to the woes of the commonman in Maharashtra, the Government today announced a hike inmilk prices.
Cow milk under Aarey brand will become costlier by Rs2 per litre and buffalo milk by Rs 2.50 a litre. The hike wasapproved by the State Cabinet last evening.
"The new milk prices would be implemented fromFebruary 16 across the state," Animal Husbandry MinisterMudhukar Chavan said.
The private milk vendors have already raised the ratesby Rs 2 a litre and the Government''s decision would impactmilk sold by Aarey, a state-owned brand.
