Gujarat to build Sardar Patel''s statue on Sardar Sarovar

Nagpur, Feb 4 (PTI) Gujarat government has decided to goahaed with its proposal to install a statue of Iron Man SardarPatel on Sardar Sarovar which will be double the height ofStatue of Liberty of America and will be known as Statue ofUnity.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi who was here forgolden jubilee celebration of the state said the statue wouldbe installed by way of tribute to Sardar Patel and throughpublic participation.

Inaugurating the Golden Jubilee celebration of Gujaratat a function here, Modi listed several achievements made bythe state.

He informed that the government signed MoUs worth Rs 21lakh crore during Vibrant Gujarat Investment summit recently.
