Final year nursing students caught ''mass copying'' in Karnataka

Bangalore, Feb 3 (PTI) Around 2,400 nursing students weretoday caught copying en masse in their final year examinationby Karnataka Medical Education Minister A Ramdas who orderedthe supension of a top official of the Nursing Board andre-examination for four papers.

A probe was ordered by Bangalore University Registrar(Evaluation) Venkatesh into the mass copying after he foundthe students, studying in various colleges in Bidar inpossession of xerox copies of answer scripts, Ramdas toldreporters here.

Following this, today''s examination as also three otherpapers held in the last three days have been cancelled, Ramdassaid displaying the xerox copies of answer scripts provided tothe students.

He said Secretary of Nursing Board Saali had been suspendedin this connection.

Ramdas said the students of the nursing colleges werewriting their final year examinations in a private collegelocated near Yelahanka in Bidar.
