London, Feb 4: Call it a travesty of fate or an unlucky coincidence that Fernando Torres may be making his debut for Chelsea against his former club Liverpool.
The match which is scheduled for Feb 6, will come after six-days from him leaving Liverpool, or popularly known as the Reds in a record transfer deal.
Torres though calls it "destiny" to make his Chelsea or Blues debut against Liverpool, but it is still unclear whether Chelsea Manager Carlo Ancelloti will field him after the Blues 4-2 victory at Sunderland on Feb 1.
Ancelloti said, "We have to test him (but) if he has no problem, he can play on Sunday against Liverpool," and added, "I think he has no problem because he played the last game with Liverpool and played well."
Torres, the Spanish striker switched over to Chelsea after sealing a British record of $81 mn.
The Spanish striker who scored three goals in his final four matches for Liverpool, said "If I have the chance to play (against Liverpool), I will do my best for Chelsea and hopefully I can score," and added "It is not perfect for me but we will see what happens."
