Kolkata, Feb 3 (PTI) The beautification from thestretch of the Hoogly river between Garden Reach and Cossiporeto be done by Kolkata Port Trust, Indian Railways and KolkataMunicipal Corporation will get a plan from Delhi School ofArchitect.
Mayor of Kolkata Sovan Chatterjee on the sidelines ofCII event said the plan has been expected soon and the MasterPlan includes various commercial exploitation, recreationalinputs and residential projects for revenue generation fromthis project.
The mayor said the private investments are welcome forthis initiative of beautification of the riverbank from GardenReach to Cossipore over a land area of around 250 acres.
Speaking on the better management of infrastructureprojects in city, he said, there was a need for anInfrastructure Advisory Panel with representation fromadministration and industry for better planning, delivery andimplementation.
He said ADB had released the Rs 100 cr loan which gotwithheld due to delay in implementation of variousdevelopmental projects undertaken by KMC within the timeperiod of 2007-2010.
