Karachi, Feb 2 (PTI) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)will hold its first Governing Body meeting in three years onFebruary 11, sources said.
According to details, the PCB under its existingconstitution is supposed to hold its governing body meetingonce in a year but it has not happened since 2007.
"The governing body will meet on February 11 in which theboard will present its annual report and accounts and also getthe budget ratified," one source said.
He said it was under the existing constitution that thePCB was working and even its Chairman and other office bearerswere nominated or appointed under the 2007 constitution whichcame into effect when Nasim Ashraf was the Chairman of theboard.
"It is a big event because the general body includes thePresidents of all district level and regional cricketassociations and the membership is around 125 people on thebody," the source said.
He said the General Body would discuss the recent spateof controversies that have hit Pakistan cricket including thespot-fixing allegations, new disciplinary clauses and theWorld Cup revenues.
PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt has constantly been accused ofone-man show in running the board and an amended in the PCBconstitution for reducing the powers of the Chairman is withthe sports ministry for final vetting and approval.
