Jammu, Jan 2 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister OmarAbdullah today said his government was determined to carry out"equitable" development of the state without consideration ofwho represented a particular region.
"Our government is determined to seek equitabledevelopment of all regions and sub-regions. In this direction,a network of schemes and developmental projects have beenlaunched across the state," Omar said addressing the districtdevelopment boards of Kathua and Udhampur here.
"Without any consideration of who represents whichassembly constituency, the coalition government pays equalattention to reach out to the people in all areas ondevelopment front," he added.
The Chief Minister said remote and backward areas shouldreceive priority attention for faster development.
He said the formulation of plans for flagship schemesshould be in consonance with requirements of the people inparticular areas.
Omar said he would discuss fund patterns and approval ofvarious centre-sponsored schemes with concerned Unionministries to make them more effective.
He announced Rs 4.61 crore additionally for thecompletion of various works in Udhampur district.
