Patna, feb 2 (PTI) At least seven policemen, includingan officer, were injured when a mob pelted stones during ablockade of national highway near Jaganpura to protest againstrecovery of the body of a youth in the Bihar capital, policesaid.
Angry over this evening''s recovery of body of BumbumChoudhury (21), missing since last week, from a desolate spotunder Patrakarnagar police station area in the outskirts ofthe capital, hundreds assembled on NH 30 and blocked the road.
As policemen tried to coax the protestors to liftblockade, they went on a rampage and pelted stones targettingthe cops.
Seven policemen including the Station House Officer ofPatrakarnagar police station were injured, police said.
The mob also burnt a bus and two trucks.
The blockade was lifted after the Superintendent ofPolice Manu Maharaj reached the spot with heavyreinforcements. PTI AJK SUS
