Jha hopeful of winning Feb 14 bypolls in MP
Bhopal, Feb 3 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh BJP chief Prabhat Jhatoday said that his party was "extremely hopeful" of winningthe February 14 bypolls in the Kukshi and Sonkatch Assemblyconstituencies in the state.
"Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan hasbecome popular in all villages in the state and people are fedup with corruption under the Congress-led UPA at the Centre,"Jha told PTI.
He said the BJP is bound to benefit from these twofactors in both Kukshi and Sonkatch.
A victory in the two bye-elections would be a feather inthe cap of the BJP as these had traditionally returnedCongress nominees in the past, Jha said.
He is currently campaigning in villages of the twoconstituencies and is scheduled to return to Bhopal onFebruary 12.
The bye-elections are also the first major test for Jhawho took over as Madhya Pradesh BJP President last year. PTIAS
