Conf on issues pertaining to fighter aircraft Jaguar held
Ahmedabad, Feb 3 (PTI) A conference to tap the defenceindustry''s potential to assist and sustain operations ofJaguar fighter aircraft for the next decade,commenced today atthe Air Force station in Jamnagar district of Gujarat.
The two-day conference was inaugurated by Air ViceMarshal Sukhchain Singh, Senior Maintenance Staff Officer atSouth Western Air Command (SWAC) of the Indian Air Force(IAF),an official statement said.
"The conference aims to address various maintenance andoperational issues pertaining to Front Line Deep Land andMaritime Strike Jaguar aircraft operations," it said addingthat it would also bring forth the total spectrum of issuespertaining to Jaguar class of fighter aircraft.
During the two days, various enterprises participating inthe conference shall come face to face with the Jaguaraircraft operators from various IAF bases, Command HQ and theAir HQ in an endeavour to showcase best in class innovation,upgradation and present dynamic and creative industrialapproach and potential.
Besides interaction between industry representative andthe Jaguar operators, an exhibition of numerous innovationscarried out at field level was being displayed.
The exhibition shows IAF''s indigenisation capabilities andoffers networking and interactive space among visitingparticipants, the statement said.
