Mumbai, Feb 3 (PTI) Anti-Corruption Bureau today arrestedLimbajirao Bhosale, the Chief Executive Officer of Aarey MilkColony here, taking bribe of Rs one lakh from a hotelier.
Bhosale was caught while accepting the bribe from thecomplainant at his office, said Additional Police Commissioner(ACB) Niket Kaushik.
The government-run Aarey Milk Colony has gardens, anursery, lakes, an observation pavilion and picnic facilities,besides being a major milk production centre.
According to ACB, Aarey authorities called for tenders torun a restaurant and boats in the lakes inside the Colonysometime back.
The complainant had filed two tenders and he was selectedto run the restaurant, the ACB official said.
However, Bhosale demanded bribe of Rs five lakh to givefinal clearance. "The victim had paid Rs four lakh, but theaccused firmly told him that he would not get the contract ifthe full payment was not made," Kaushik said.
The victim subsequently complained to ACB, which trappedBhosale at his office.
