Youth stabbed for having an affair

New Delhi, Feb 1 (PTI) A 25-year-old man was todaystabbed allegedly by his brother-in-law who was angry over thevictim having a relationship with his niece.

The incident took place in Kalyanpuri in east Delhithis evening.

Daler Singh (30), an auto driver, allegedly stabbedGaurav (25) who is a resident of Uttar Pradesh''s Meerut, asenior police official said.

Gaurav was rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital fromwhere he was shifted to Guru Tegh Bahadur hospital. Doctorssaid his condition was critical.

"Singh had warned Gaurav several times that he shouldnot have a relationship with his niece. However, the youth didnot pay heed to it and Singh allegedly stabbed him today," theofficial said.

A case has been registered and efforts are on to nabSingh who is absconding.
