EPL: Rooney fears Chelsea with Torres

Wayne Rooney
Manchester, Feb 2: Manchester United's star striker Wayne Rooney warned his team-mates about Chelsea's power to come back for Premier League tittle run. Rooney adviced this to his team after their win over Aston Villa on Tuesday, Feb 1.

Manchester United defeated Aston Villa 3-1, where Rooney scored twice. It was Rooney's third and fourth goal of the season, which will give him joy after a disappointing start.

Currently, Manchester United leads the point table and have a 10 point lead over Chelsea. But, Rooney believes that the Jan Tranfer window opened great opportunity for Chelsea to win the race. During the Jan Transfer, Chelsea bought Spanish striker Fernando Torres from Liverpool for a British record fee of $79.5 million.

Chelsea also signed David Luiz to gain momentum for Premier League crown race. Chelsea has Home and away matches against United, which disturbs Rooney.

"We certainly haven't written Chelsea off. They are a big, strong side and we know if anyone is capable of going on a good run then it is them. But we know it is up to us where the title goes and hopefully we can win it back," Rooney said.

"I am delighted to have scored and hopefully I can go on a run now and help the team to win games," Rooney added.
