Two sustain minor injuries as stadium compound wall caves in

Chennai, Feb 2 (PTI): Two persons sustained minor injurieswhen a portion of a compound wall caved in at the M AChidambaram stadium here during sale of tickets for thecricket World Cup, commencing here on February 20.

Police said the incident occurred following a melee amongstthe ticket-seekers, resulting in minor injuries to the two.

Meanwhile, TNCA sources described the incident as ''minor''and said ticket sales were not disrupted due to the incident.

They said about 50 people of the nearly 3000-odd strongcrowd suddenly pushed towards the wall, resulting in a portionof it in caving in.

TNCA sources also maintained two persons were injured andno major untoward incident was reported.
