Teenager shot dead after dispute over playing cricket

Ara (Bihar), Feb 2 (PTI) A teenager was shot dead by hisfriends after a dispute over playing cricket at a village inBihar''s Bhojpur district, police said.

Dhananjay Singh (18) was called by his friends at anisolated place near Sarthua village under Udvantnagar policestation area, where one of them shot at him, they said,adding the teenager died on the spot.

A dispute over playing cricket at a ground yesterday wasstated to be the reason behind the incident, police said,adding efforts were on in the area to nab the culprits. PTICORR AJK NIKSG
