Suri murder: Seven-day police custody for two accused

Hyderabad, Feb 1 (PTI) Two accused arrested in connectionwith the sensational murder of faction leader SuryanarayanaReddy alias Suri were today remanded in seven days policecustody by a local court here.

Manmohan Singh Bhaduria and S Subbaiah, who were arrestedalong with two others B V Hari Babu and A Venkataramana byCentral Crime Station and Task Force sleuths of HyderabadPolice on January 30 are presently under judicial custody tillFebruary 11 and lodged in the Chanchalguda Jail here whileBhanu Kiran, the prime accused in the murder of Suri, who wasalso his aide, continues to evade the police.

The CCS Police had yesterday filed a petition in theNampally court seeking seven-days police custody of Bhaduriaand Subbaiah for interrogating them further as Singh was anaccomplice-cum-gunman of Bhanu.

After hearing arguments, the Nampally court todayremanded Singh and Subaiah in police custody for seven daysfrom tomorrow, a senior police officer told PTI adding, "Theinterrogation of the duo is very important and is likely togive more details into the investigation of Suri''s murder."

Suri, a faction leader from Anantapur district ofRayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, who was the primeaccused in the killing of TDP legislator Paritala Ravi, wasshot dead by gunmen in his car at Navodaya colony here onJanuary 3 and police had strongly suspected the role of Bhanuand his associates behind the killing.
