Pak, Bangla pilgrims pay obeisance at annual Urs

Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab), Feb 1 (PTI) A delegation of 194pilgrims from neighbouring Pakistan and Bangladesh today paidobeisance at annual Urs near here today.

The festival is celebrated in the memory of Sufi saintSheikh Ahmad Farooqui Sirhindi.

The delegation, which comprised of 182 Pakistanis and 12Bangladeshis, paid obeisance at Rouza Sharif on the second dayof the festival.

The Pakistani pilgrims led by Manawar Bhatti reached atSirhind railway along with two officials from Pakistanembassy.

Talking to media-persons, Bhatti said that peace shouldbe prevail throughout the world.

He said that the Jatha members were accorded warm welcomeby the people of Punjab. "We are feeling at home here," headded.
