New Delhi, Feb 1 (PTI) Ahead of the Budget session ofParliament, BJP-led NDA today said it still stood by itsdemand for a JPC probe into three scams, including 2G spectrumallocation, and accused the UPA government of failing to giveany "credible reason" to the opposition to drop its demand.
"We stand by our demand. It continues...there is nodilution," BJP Parliamentary Party Chairman L K Advani toldreporters after a meeting of NDA leaders here.
Asked whether the opposition would continue to disrupt theproceedings of Parliament like it did during the Wintersession, Advani said the strategy would be decided on the eveof the Budget session beginning February 21.
He said it was "unfortunate" that no important businesscould be transacted during the Winter session because of thelogjam between the government and the opposition.
Advani said NDA leaders decided to continue to press forthe demand for a JPC probe in irregularities in CommonwealthGames project, 2G spectrum scam and the Adarsh housing scamahead of an all-party meeting convened by Finance MinisterPranab Mukherjee on February 8.
