Ahmedabad, Feb 1 (PTI) Gujarat Chief Minister NarendraModi will expand his ministry tomorrow and is likely to inductthree to five new ministers, with the state assembly electionsdue next year.
"Our Ministry will be expanded tomorrow," stategovernment spokesperson and Health Minister Jaynarayan Vyastold PTI.
It is likely that Modi will induct three to fiveministers in his government in this expansion, which is beingseen as the last before the state elections due to be held inDecember 2012, official sources said.
This will be the second expansion of Modi''s cabinet inthe past five months. Before the crucial local self-governingbodies elections, Modi had expanded his cabinet on August 21and inducted four ministers, taking the strength of ministryto 21.
The expansion will help better representations ofdifferent caste and different areas of the state before the2012 elections, BJP sources said.
The party expects Modi to soon appoint leaders to theposts of heads of state boards and corporations as well, theysaid.
Better representations from different areas of the stateand different caste combinations in the state ministry, boardsand corporations will serve the party well in the elections,the sources added.
